CES 26 > Hisense 163MXS: First Micro LED with 4 primaries (RGBY) for 100% BT.2020

The number 4 is definitely in the spotlight at Hisense's CES 2026 in Las Vegas. After the Hisense 116UXS and its RGB Mini LED Evo 4 primary technology, which we discussed yesterday, here comes the Hisense 163MXS, the first Micro LED diffuser with 4 primary LEDs (again).
It should be noted that while the RGB Mini LED Evo 4 primary backlighting system announced for the Hisense 116UXS in the spring is based on a quartet of RGBC primaries (C for cyan), the Hisense 163MXS is structured around a quartet of RGBJ LEDs (J for yellow), exactly what Sharp offered on its Quattron LCD panels in the early 2010s.

Equipped with this technology, this 163" (414 cm) behemoth restores the 500-600 nm spectral range, an area where traditional Micro LEDs struggle to accurately reproduce intermediate shades, and ultimately boasts 100% coverage of the BT.2020 gamut across 33.17 million sub-pixels via a 4K Ultra HD panel.

Hisense 163 MXS RGBJ Micro LED: The Shape Too!

;The design of the Hisense 163MXS is truly superb once mounted on the wall. Despite its spectacular size, it adopts an ultra-slim 32 mm profile and benefits from zero-gap wall mounting for Premium architectural integration despite a total surface area of over 4 square meters (if you are interested, when this TV becomes available, please check beforehand that you have a suitable wall...). Availability and indicative price unknown.
