We now know more about the premium OLED TV series from the Korean manufacturer, the Samsung S99H. Specifically, the peak brightness value with an APL of 10%, but also with an APL of 100%, i.e., a 100% white screen…
Samsung announced that its new S99H TVs boast a peak brightness 35% higher than that of the 2025 S95F models. Last year's S95F was rated at 4,000 nits (approximately 2,100 nits for the 55" model at 10% APL once calibrated; see our full review of the Samsung TQ55S95F). For the S99H, Samsung Display reports a peak brightness of 4,500 nits (see our CES 26 news > Samsung QD OLED TVs 2026: 4,500 nits on the horizon), but Samsung claims a peak brightness of 2,700 nits for a calibrated screen at 10% APL and 435 nits at 100% APL. The on-screen display should therefore gain significantly in dynamic range. This gain in peak brightness owes nothing to the panel itself (it's more or less identical to that of the 2025 S95F), but entirely to the software optimization performed by Samsung engineers. Samsung S99H OLED TV, new specifications. While the Samsung S99H TV series retains the Real Black certification, which guarantees deep blacks even in bright ambient light, the new NQ4 AI processor brings some interesting new features. First and foremost is the AI Sound Controller function, which allows independent adjustment of sound elements, such as amplifying crowd sounds while reducing the commentators' voices. There's also the AI Soccer Mode: for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the TV automatically detects matches to optimize grass color and sound immersion (clarity of commentary and stadium intensity). Samsung S99H OLED TV, improved specifications. In terms of advanced features, we can mention the improved 4K AI Upscaling algorithms for impressive on-screen sharpness of SD and HD signals, and Auto HDR Remastering for HDR rendering of SDR content. The same goes for the Adaptive Sound function, which adapts the sound settings to the content displayed on the screen, and the AI Customization Mode, which adjusts the picture and sound according to the user's preferences and the detected content. Samsung S99H OLED TV, specifications unchanged. The Samsung S99H TVs retain some features from the 2025 models in 2026, namely the AI Motion Enhancer for perfect fluidity, even for fast-moving objects, and the Color Booster to dynamically enhance the color rendering of each scene. Of course, the Glare Free technology is still included, as is the Q-Symphony function. This feature, when used with a Samsung Q-Series soundbar (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026), allows you to take advantage of the TV's speakers in addition to those of the soundbar, while optimizing the sound according to the room's acoustics to enhance sound reproduction, its scale, and its spatialization. Specifically, Samsung S99H TVs can be wirelessly connected to up to five audio devices (see our CES 26 news > Samsung LS50H and LS70H: designer wireless speakers with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth by Erwan Bouroullec). Finally, it's worth noting a maximum refresh rate of 165 Hz and compatibility with FreeSync Premium Pro and G-Sync.
Samsung S99H OLED TV, Metal Frame design and Wireless One Connect Optional; Among the other information available on these screens, the new Metal Bezel or Metal Frame design is a major game-changer. The OLED panel is framed by a metal rectangle for a stunning effect when wall-mounted (the TV is, of course, sold with a stand). Regarding design, the Samsung S99H TVs can be paired with the optional Wireless One Connect box, which appeared last year on the Lifestyle TV series The Frame Pro (Samsung LS03FW) and the Samsung QN990F Ultra HD 8K series. In this case, 8 HDMI 2.1 inputs will be available (4 on the TV and 4 on the One Connect). Finally, Samsung TVs The S99H series joins the Art Store this year. This demonstrates the brand's confidence in the anti-burn-in treatments of its OLED TVs. Below is a reminder of the expected lineup of the Samsung S99H OLED TV series in France: • Samsung TQ55S99HAT (55", 140 cm, Ultra HD 4K, One Connect, QD OLED) • Samsung TQ65S99HAT (65", 165 cm, Ultra HD 4K, One Connect, QD OLED) • Samsung TQ77S99HAT (77", 196 cm, Ultra HD 4K, One Connect, QD OLED) • Samsung TQ83S99HAE (93", 211 cm, Ultra HD 4K, One Connect, Tandem) OLED)
