Big design changes for iOS 19, iPadOS 19 and macOS 16

The new iPhone OS planned for next fall should offer a drastic visual change in terms of graphical interface, undoubtedly the biggest upheaval since 2013.

According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, corroborated by other reputable sources, the iPhone, iPad, and Mac interface will get a serious facelift next fall with the arrival of iOS 19, iPadOS 19, and macOS 16.

The change will allow for graphical consistency across all Apple devices, for a smoother experience when switching from one product to another. The Apple Vision Pro headset interface will serve as the basis for this redesign, which will modify the style of icons, menus, applications, windows, and other system buttons.

We should thus see the appearance of rounder icons, transparency, and 3D elements. This will be the biggest graphical overhaul that Apple interfaces have undergone since iOS 7 (2013) on iPhone. The manufacturer is expected to present this interface in June at its developer conference, before rolling it out in the fall.
