To make a long story short, the new Kef Kube 8/10/12/15 MIE boxes take up most of the specifications of the Kube modulo the MIE plugin (Music Integrity Engine), basically a selection of DSP algorithms which constantly analyze the signal to avoid the risk of clipping in order to enhance sound performance. Thus, the audio rendering is optimized for each of the Kef Kube.

Precision, the latter allows you to “fit” a Kef Kube in a piece of furniture, if the need to hide it arises. Three programmed equalizer settings are available depending on the placement of the subwoofer: room, wall/furniture and corner.

The Kef Kube subwoofers can of course accommodate the Kef KW1 wireless module (5 GHz). Thus, with a range of 30 m, it is possible to place the box freely in a room. Signal transfer is ensured up to 48 Hz/24 bits.

It is on the rear panel that it is possible to activate/deactivate the low pass filter (LFE), to adjust the cutoff frequency (from 40 Hz to 140 Hz), to adjust the phase (0°-180°), to select one of the three audio presets depending on the listening room and/or the placement of the Kube (in a corner, against a wall…).
It is also necessary to point out a mono connection via LFE, a low level RCA stereo input, a high level Euroblock type terminal block input and a SmartConnect connection capable of detecting mono or stereo sound tracks to adjust the gain, therefore the volume, of the box accordingly.
