The First Omen, a little horror, a little fashion
This horrific psychological thriller is the prequel to Richard Donner's 1976 classic (The Omen), which has already spawned two sequels, a forgettable reboot and a series (Good Omens with David Tennant and Michael Sheen). This new opus entitled The First Omen, directed by Arkasha Stevenson, follows a young American woman sent to Rome to begin a life of service to the Church. She soon finds herself confronted with darkness that leads her to question her faith and uncover a terrifying conspiracy that hopes to give birth to Evil incarnate. The cast includes Nell Tiger Free, Tawfeek Barhom, Sonia Braga, Ralph Ineson and Bill Nighy. In France, the film entitled The Curse: The Origin, is due to be released in theaters on April 10.
