Go behind the scenes of the infamous Star Wars Holiday Special

A new documentary tells us more about the making of the most shameful of Star Wars (no, not Episode IX).

You have surely heard of the Star Wars Holiday Special, a program broadcast in the United States on CBS in 1978 to keep fans waiting before the release of The Empire Strikes Back, and above all famous for its total awkwardness, so much so that Lucasfilm has always done everything to make it forgotten (zero VHS, DVD, Blu-Ray, VOD releases, etc.)

Even though it's impossible to obtain the program legally, you can watch it on YouTube (click if you dare), which might motivate you to take a look at this new documentary called A Disturbance in the Force: How the Star Wars Holiday Special Happened, or in good French: A great trouble in the Force: how the Star Wars Holiday Special arrived.

A whole program for this trip behind the scenes of Star Wars the most shameful ever. Trailer below, Blu-Ray and digital release on December 5 in the USA.
