Philips Hue Play Gradient Lightstrip, Ambilight for PC and Mac

Philips proposes to extend its Ambilight concept to computers with light strips that can be synchronized with PC and Mac screens.

The Play Gradient Lightstrip from the Hue Play range from Philips attaches to the back of a computer monitor - Mac and PC - and synchronizes with the content displayed on the screen to generate lighting that creates a halo literally making the colors pop off your screen. Enough to brighten up, literally and figuratively, online gaming sessions...

Philips Hue Play Gradient Lightstrip, for one, two or computer screens

Three sizes of non-divisible light strip are available - from 24'' (61 cm) to 34'' (86 cm) - and they are positioned with the included mounting brackets. It is therefore possible to equip up to three screens placed next to each other or to stick the largest of the three on an ultrawide type monitor up to the 32/9 ratio. Synchronization is then done from the Hue Sync desktop application (Mac and PC).

Available at a guide price of €149.99 (from, depending on size) and requires the use of a Hue Bridge, sold separately at a guide price of €59.99.
