Apple rarely discloses the number of subscribers to its services, so it was a compliment recently given to us by David Israelite, President of the National Music Publishers Association (NMPA), revealing the number of Apple Music subscribers to United States as of February 2023.
25% of Spotify users live in the USA
The figure of 32.6 million subscribers places Apple second behind Spotify, which dominates the market with 44.4 million users in the USA. Knowing that the platform announces 210 million subscribers worldwide, the United States thus represents 25% of all Spotify users.
USA streaming market, Tidal absent from the Top 5
Amazon Music is in third place with 29.3 million subscribers, followed by YouTube Music and Pandora, with “only” 8.5 million and 2.4 million users respectively. Note that TidalL does not appear in this Top 5. Source: music business
