Sharp FN Ultra HD 4K LED TV, HDR Dolby Vision and Smart Android TV 11.0

During our presentation of the new Sharp TV range last December with the Sharp FS, Sharp XLED300, Sharp XLED1000 and Sharp XLED2000 series, we omitted the Sharp FN series. Here it is unveiled in detail.

In short, the Sharp FN 4K Ultra HD LED TV series borrows many of the specifications from the Sharp FS series, starting with HDR Dolby Vision compatibility.

The Sharp FN Ultra HD/4K LED series has four references, the Sharp 43FN2EA (43'', 109 cm), Sharp 50FN2EA (50'', 127 cm), Sharp 55FN2EA (55'', 140 cm) and Sharp 65FN2EA (65'', 165cm).

Main technical characteristics

The Sharp FN series is built around a Direct LED Local Dimming backlight system for a peak light of 500 nits, a dynamic contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 and Active Motion 800 motion compensation. of these Ultra HD screens, in addition to the HDR Dolby Vision already mentioned, we also note HDR10 and HDR HLG compatibility, a native Wide Color Gamut 50 Hz LCD panel, a DVB-T2/DVB-S2 and DVB-C tuner plus a Harman Kardon 2.0 audio system with a total power of 20 W. This is based on two broadband speakers, two silk dome tweeters. Dolby Digital Plus and DTS:X compatibility is assured, as well as DTS Virtual:X processing.

Smart Android TV 11.0

The operating system is associated with the Smart Android TV 11.0 function giving access to the entire Google ecosystem but also Chromecast (integrated) (with Google Assistant. The pre-installed applications are numerous and include Netflix, YouTube, Deezer, Rakuten TV, Chile… We also note the HBBTV, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functions Via USB, playback of the following video codecs is ensured: VP9, AVI, MKV, MP4, Mov, AF, Vob, TS, Mpeg and FLV. The same applies to audio with MP3, M4A, AAC, EAC3, Wav, Flac and LPCM files.

The connection

On the in terms of connections, Sharp FN2EA TVs have four HDMI 2.0b inputs (with ARC management on HDMI 3), two USB Host ports, a Composite with its audio input, an Ethernet port, plus an optical output and a headphone output.

Already available Indicative prices: €349 for the Sharp 43FN, €399 for the Sharp 50FN, €499 for the Sharp 55FN and 699 € for the Sharp 65DN.
