Second place goes to the iPhone 12 Pro Max with 4%, followed by the iPhone 12 Pro with its 3% market share. The iPhone 12 mini did not succeed in seducing, not even landing a place in the Top 10 of the best-selling mobile phones. The fourth position is the iPhone 11 with 2% of the total distribution. Counterpoint Research attributes Apple's success to strong demand for 5G smartphones, as well as consumer restraint in 2020 on the buy side, due to the health crisis.
In terms of turnover, Apple pocketed 38% of the global total, in particular thanks to its premium models at high prices. For example, even though the iPhone 12 Pro Max gets 4% of the market in terms of volume, it accounts for 12% of the total worldwide revenue generated (!).
