Loewe We.Boost: a wireless center speaker to move to Dolby Atmos 5.1.2

The Sony Bravia Theater Quad concept or the Sony HT-A9 established a new family of audiovisual products, true wireless multichannel Home Cinema systems. After the HT Saturn pack by Hisense, Loewe followed suit with its We.Boost. Like its competitors, the We.Boost was previously offered as a Plug & Play pack consisting of four wireless active satellite speakers and a subwoofer. Today, the German brand announces an expansion of its acoustic package with the arrival of a new dedicated center speaker (see photo below).

 

 

Loewe We.Boost, from 4.1.2 to Dolby Atmos 5.1.2 Rather than replacing the existing system, this center speaker offers current users a great upgrade option. By adding this dedicated center channel, it delivers a more precise front soundstage and significantly more intelligible dialogue. Above all, it takes the system from its original 4.1.2 configuration to an even more immersive Dolby Atmos 5.1.2 configuration (with the satellite speakers still incorporating upward-firing drivers for height). The whole system retains its generous total musical power of 720 watts.

 

 

Software update via USB This launch extends the range’s promise of full Home Cinema sound without the complexity of cables. Indeed, no cumbersome wiring to the speakers is required. The center speaker connects wirelessly to the system via the We.Boost HDMI dongle already supplied (which, as a reminder, has a Center Out output). All that is needed is a software update through the dongle’s USB port. A welcome detail, a wall mount is also included in the box for flexible, discreet installation under the television, without cluttering the living room furniture.
