Apple iPhone Duo Max: already rumors about the next foldable smartphones

Hardly had the iPhone Duo been unveiled, and even before it went on sale, rumors are already accelerating about the successors and future variants of Apple’s very first foldable-screen smartphone.

The indispensable journalist Mark Gurman of the Bloomberg agency has already heard some leaks about the heirs to the iPhone Duo. While this first foldable model will not go on sale until the end of October, the Cupertino firm is already actively preparing the next stage of its offensive to establish its dominance in this new sector.

An iPhone Duo Max with Face ID and telephoto lens He begins by mentioning an iPhone Duo Max, which will have larger screens, and adds that Apple wants to quickly add Face ID, as well as a telephoto lens. These elements are absent from the first model due to limited space.

Miniaturization and artificial intelligence To manage to fit these new features without taking up too much space, Apple will rely not only on advances in miniaturization, but also on AI algorithms, which will for example make it possible to compensate for reduced lens sizes.

SE and Mini variants in preparation? Apple could also launch an iPhone Duo SE, cheaper and therefore less powerful, but also an iPhone Duo Mini, a clamshell model equivalent to Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip. Finally, like most analysts, Gurman expects the iPhone Duo to become "the dominant foldable model on the market".
