Far Cry, an anthology series that will renew itself every year
Like the games, the series will adopt an anthology structure. Each season will tell a new story, set in a different region of the world and driven by new characters. Noah Hawley had previously explained that he wanted to "create a great action series capable of changing from one year to the next, while continuing to explore human nature through a complex and chaotic prism, with a tone that is both irreverent and ambitious".
A Far Cry series as dark and disturbing as the game?
When it airs, Far Cry will be available on Hulu in the United States and on Disney+ in other territories.
Seeing the creator of Fargo and Legion tackle Far Cry is obviously appealing. The only reservation is that his most recent creation, Alien: Earth, proved markedly less convincing than his previous successes. Beyond their survival dimension, the latest Far Cry games also depict a grim, violent and decaying America, a formidable playground for Hawley. Will he dare to go all the way with what this universe has most dark and disturbing?
