Yamaha B200A: compact Dolby Atmos soundbar for TV and gaming

Presented as an ideal solution for confined spaces, the Yamaha B200A features compact dimensions, with just 60 cm in width and 6.4 cm in height. Designed to fit easily in a living room or bedroom, placed on a piece of furniture or mounted on the wall thanks to the integrated mounting holes, it aims to deliver an intense sound experience for films, television and video games.

 

 

Yamaha B200A, acoustic package and Dolby Atmos Despite its modest size, the B200A includes amplification delivering a total rated power of 70 W (2 x 20 W for the front channels, plus 30 W for bass). The acoustic architecture is based on two 4.6 cm full-range speakers for the left and right channels, supported by a 7.5 cm bass speaker and two 7.5-centimeter passive radiators.

 

 

The whole system works in perfect harmony with the [abc]Dolby Atmos[/abc] format to reproduce a 360-degree 3D surround sound field. Yamaha’s exclusive technology enhances this spatialization to give the impression that the sound comes from the center of the screen. A Bass Extension function is also included to increase the depth of low frequencies on demand.

 

 

Yamaha B200A, sound modes and dedicated features To suit all types of content, the soundbar offers four preset sound modes: Movie, Stereo, Standard and Game. The latter is particularly highlighted by the brand for gamers, as it improves the positioning of crucial effects such as footsteps or gunfire. The famous Yamaha Clear Voice function is also present, isolating and emphasizing vocal frequencies to ensure dialogue remains intelligible in films or TV news broadcasts.

 

 

Yamaha B200A, connectivity, Bluetooth 5.3 and control On the connectivity side, Yamaha keeps things essential with a [abc]HDMI[/abc] output compatible with [abc]eARC[/abc]/[abc]ARC[/abc] and [abc]CEC[/abc], allowing users to enjoy high-resolution audio and control the soundbar with the TV remote via a single cable. It also adds a digital [abc]optical[/abc] input and a 3.5 mm mini-jack analog input.

 

 

The B200A also integrates multipoint [abc]Bluetooth[/abc] 5.3 wireless connectivity (compatible with SBC and AAC codecs), making it easy to stream music from a smartphone and switch quickly between two devices. Finally, everyday control can be handled via the included remote control or the intuitive Sound Bar Remote mobile app.
