Apple iPhone Ultra 2, a second foldable smartphone already in development?

While the tech world holds its breath awaiting the imminent unveiling of Apple's first-ever foldable smartphone, the Cupertino company is already thinking ahead. Without even gauging the commercial success of the first model, the Californian manufacturer has reportedly already approved the development of its direct successor. This strategic acceleration confirms Apple's ambitions in the flexible device segment.
Apple is expected to announce the iPhone Ultra by the end of the year, its first-ever foldable model. And rather than wait to see how the public responds, the company is already preparing its successor.

The iPhone Ultra 2 project officially approved? ££££

This is what Mark Gurman of Bloomberg reported a few weeks ago, and his claims were recently corroborated by the Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station, explaining that the "iPhone Ultra 2 project" has already been officially approved.

iPhone Ultra 2: 7.8'' OLED screen and launch planned with the iPhone XX££££

He specifies that this model would use the same screen as its predecessor, namely a 7.8" OLED display with a 4:3 aspect ratio. This second foldable phone would therefore be released at the end of 2027, alongside the two anniversary models which will likely be named iPhone XX Pro and iPhone XX Pro Max.
