Samsung AI smart glasses: launch in November to take on Ray-Ban Meta

We know a little more about the release period of Samsung's first connected glasses. As a reminder, expected for the end of this year, this new hardware is the result of a major strategic partnership with Google, Qualcomm, as well as the eyewear specialists Gentle Monster and Warby Parker.-

It has been a few months since Samsung’s very first pair of connected glasses was officially unveiled. Designed in close collaboration with Google for the software and artificial intelligence (Gemini) side, and with Qualcomm for the processor architecture, the frame’s aesthetics were intelligently entrusted to creators Gentle Monster and Warby Parker, in order to guarantee a premium design and comfort for everyday use.

A November launch confirmed by the Korea Herald

While it was known that the device would be released by the end of the year, the launch window has just been recently clarified by a Samsung Electronics official speaking to the well-known daily Korea Herald. These famous glasses will therefore arrive in November, at least in the South Korean and American markets initially, before a likely global rollout.

FCC certification validated: Meta looms in the crosshairs

This statement is logically confirmed by recent certification from the FCC (Federal Communications Commission in the United States), the sort generally granted as the final step before a commercial launch. These certification documents (see below) show several versions around two base models (bringing together no fewer than 11 variants in total), equipped with an engraving indicator button located inside the wide temples.

These same documents tell us more about the machine’s internals. The two models are compatible with Wi-Fi 6E and [abc]Wi-Fi[/abc] 7, a somewhat surprising technical choice for such small models, which are generally limited to Wi-Fi 5 or Wi-Fi 6. There is also [abc]Bluetooth[/abc] 5.3 Low Energy (LE), for a transfer speed of up to 2 MB/s with the companion smartphone.

For the record, in order to keep the weight down, these two models in the “Intelligent Eyewear” line do not have a true projected display on the lenses. The devices rely on an onboard front camera, speakers and microphones managed by Gemini AI via a connected Galaxy smartphone over [abc]Bluetooth[/abc], thus directly competing with the success of Ray-Ban Meta glasses.

Availability of the two Samsung AI connected glasses models announced for November 2026. Indicative prices still unknown.
