There are roles that stick to your skin. If you are told Liev Schreiber, there is a very strong chance that you will think of Ray Donovan. It must be said that the actor, very talented in his other projects, made a strong impression in the Showtime series. All this to say that when his name appears somewhere, people pay attention. That is the case for Nocturne, whose first details and images have just been revealed by Apple TV.
A very promising new Apple TV adaptation
Alongside the no less renowned Zazie Beetz (Atlanta) and Stephen Graham (Adolescence), Schreiber will play a former soldier turned investigator. He traded the formidable streets of Philadelphia for a quieter life in Pennsylvania. But when his city and his family are targeted by Jurek Walter (Graham), a diabolical and cunning serial killer, Jonah must protect everyone he holds dear. Desperately searching for the serial killer’s last victim, Jonah finds himself forced to send his protégé, FBI agent Saga Bauer (Beetz), on his trail.
A promising pitch. It is an adaptation of the novels Lazarus and The Sleepwalker, by the Swedish author duo behind the name Lars Kepler. John Hlavin (Shooter) is the showrunner, while Rowan Joffe (Tin Star) is credited with the creation, writing and production.
Ten episodes are planned, for a release starting October 30 on Apple TV. The date is set.
