Microsoft Xbox Helix: the new console half-heartedly confirmed for late 2027?

Microsoft has all but confirmed, through its Xbox boss Asha Sharma, that its next console, rumored to be codenamed Xbox Helix, will be released during the holiday season in 2027. This strategic information was slipped into an internal memo highlighting the global impact of soaring component prices on the video game industry.
As you're probably starting to realize, rising memory chip prices are hitting the electronics industry hard, with delays here and price increases there. The video game world is naturally not immune. This was recently addressed by Xbox CEO Asha Sharma in an internal memo, later made public. She explained that it will be necessary to rethink how to do business in a context that has become extremely uncertain.

Besides explaining that Microsoft has made a series of unprofitable investments in recent years, it reminds us that the price of memory chips has doubled since last fall, and that it will increase even further "as we prepare for the 2027 holiday season."

And in this generally discouraging memo, this is pretty much the only sentence we'll remember, since it suggests that a new machine should be launched around that time. Most likely the new Xbox Helix, but perhaps another one; nothing is certain yet.
