iOS 28: Apple's upcoming update is already shaping up to be a major one for the iPhone XX

As Apple prepares to unveil iOS 27 at WWDC 2026, the first leaks surrounding iOS 28 are already surfacing. Scheduled for 2027, this future version of the operating system is shaping up to be a major update, designed to accompany a significant hardware overhaul of the iPhone lineup.
Always well-informed, Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman has already heard about iOS 28, even though the latest version of the iPhone operating system, iOS 27, isn't officially unveiled until June 8th at WWDC 2026. A technical transition before the big leap in 2027. Well, to be honest, he's not revealing anything surprising, stating that iOS 28 will be a much more significant update than iOS 27. On the one hand, iOS 28 will accompany the supposedly revolutionary iPhone XX; on the other hand, following the upheaval, particularly in terms of design, brought about by iOS 26, version 27 focuses primarily on improving the "underlying quality and performance." Siri is making its revolution in standalone app mode. iOS 27 will also offer the improved version of Siri expected since 2024, as well as an "App" version of Siri, a fully-fledged assistant, like ChatGPT or Gemini, can be queried by both voice and text.
