iPhone: Is Apple preparing for the return of titanium and the arrival of liquid metal?

Eliminated from the iPhone lineup after only two years of service, titanium could one day make a comeback on the iPhone.
The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max boasted a major innovation: the introduction of a titanium frame, a more refined and robust material. Unfortunately, heat dissipation issues forced Apple to rethink its design, switching to aluminum starting with the iPhone 17 Pro/Max. An improved version of titanium to address overheating... But according to the Chinese leaker Instant Digital, Apple hasn't abandoned the idea and could reintroduce titanium, provided it's improved enough to resolve its thermal limitations. Apple is also exploring the idea of a "liquid metal" frame, a material specifically developed for the iPhone Ultra's hinge, and notable for its greater resistance to deformation compared to traditional metals.
