iPhone Ultra, 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max: first "leaked" photos of the dummy models
09.04.2026 • 00h03
First leaked photos of dummy models of iPhones to be released at the end of this year, including the foldable iPhone Ultra.
While test production is underway for the very first foldable iPhone, accessory manufacturers—particularly those producing protective cases—have already gotten their hands on dummy models, and the first photos have already surfaced. iPhone Ultra: 4:3 aspect ratio confirmed and more compact camera module. It was leaker Sonny Dickson who published these first leaked images, showing side-by-side mockups of the iPhone 18 Pro Max, iPhone Ultra, and iPhone 18 Pro. These mockups adhere to the final design of these devices down to a tenth of a millimeter, allowing accessory manufacturers to produce cases and other peripherals with the exact proportions. This image highlights the unique dimensions of the iPhone Ultra (4:3 aspect ratio for the main screen), already mentioned in previous rumors, as well as a design similar to the iPhone 17 Pro/Pro Max for the new iPhone 18 Pro/Pro Max. A two-stage release: September for the 18 Pro/Max, and the end of the year for the Ultra. One small, unprecedented detail, however, is that this is the first time we've seen on the iPhone Ultra that the camera module doesn't extend across the entire width of the device. The iPhone 18 Pro/Pro Max will be released in September 2026, and the iPhone Ultra should follow, arriving before December.
