Kpop Demon Hunters 2 is official

It was strongly suspected, but it's now officially confirmed: the Netflix K-pop hit Demon Hunters will have a sequel, with the same directors at the helm.
Given the huge success of the K-pop animated film Demon Hunters on Netflix, a sequel was inevitable, and hints here and there confirmed the obvious… K-pop Demon Hunters 2: Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, of course, at the helm! But as they say in San Antonio and around here: "It's not over until the big lady sings." In other words, we were waiting for an official announcement, which was recently released by Netflix. And as part of an "exclusive multi-year writing and directing partnership," the co-directors of the first film, Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, are thankfully at the helm of the project. Maggie Kang has the floor: "I feel immense pride, as a Korean director, to see that the audience wants more of this story and our Korean characters," said Kang. There is still so much to explore in the world we have built, and I can't wait to show it to you. This is just the beginning." [] Chris Appelhans adds, "These characters are like family to us; their universe has become our second home. We are eager to write their next chapter, to test them and see them evolve, while continuing to push the boundaries of how music, animation, and story can combine." However, patience will be required. The streaming service [abc]streaming[/abc] has indicated a release date of 2029 for K-pop Demon Hunters 2.
