Two years after the release of the Google TV Thomson Box 240G (click to read the full review by AVcesar), which enjoyed tremendous commercial success, the brand is offering its successor, the Thomson Streaming Box 245G. Here's a look at it.
The main features of the Thomson Streaming Box 245G, compared to its predecessor, are a more powerful, latest-generation processor, more Flash memory, and a backlit remote control. Among the very practical features offered by the Thomson Streaming Box 245G is voice-controlled Google Assistant via a microphone on the Bluetooth remote. This allows you to control the box and the TV hands-free with your voice. The rest of the Thomson Streaming Box 245G's specifications include a Quad Core Amlogic S905Y5-B processor (compared to the Y4 on the 240) with Cortex-A55, 2 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of Flash memory. A package ensuring unprecedented fluidity for the Google TV interface (Android 12), which responds instantly to every command. Similarly, Android 12 offers Chromecast (integrated) and ensures compatibility with AV1.
