Record market share for the iPhone in Europe

In 2025, Apple smartphones achieved a record market share in Europe.
Echoing Apple's global success, regaining the number 1 spot in the smartphone market after 15 years, the iPhone also broke records in Europe. Record European market share for Apple, at 27%. Last year, Apple distributed 36.9 million iPhones in Europe, 6% more than projected for 2024, for a record market share of 27%. This is what the latest figures from the Omdia firm reveal, specifying that the entire market experienced a 1% decline in Europe between 2024 and 2025, due in particular to new European regulations concerning eco-obligations and mandatory USB-C ports. Apple still trails Samsung on the continent. Apple's performance was driven by sales of the iPhone 16, as well as the Pro Max versions of the iPhone 16 and 17, not to mention the iPhone 16e. A record market share for the manufacturer, therefore, even if the top spot in Europe is still held by Samsung with 35% of the market. Xiaomi is third with 16%.
