Samsung Galaxy S26/S26: successors to the S25/S25, with no greater ambition…

Following our news about the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, here's the next installment in our presentation of the Korean manufacturer's new lineup of flagship smartphones for 2026, with a closer look at the S26 and S26+ models.
As you will notice in the specifications below, these devices offer few new features compared to their predecessors, with the bulk of the improvements reserved for the premium Galaxy S26 Ultra model. Samsung Galaxy S26/S26+: A closer look at the screen and battery. The Galaxy S26's screen, a Dynamic AMOLED display with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz, is slightly larger, at 6.3 inches compared to 6.2 inches on the S25. The Galaxy S26+, with the same specifications, still has a 6.7-inch screen. Both also feature a peak brightness of 2,600 nits, HDR10/HDR10+ compatibility, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 coating. Battery capacity is 4,300 mAh for the S26 (300 mAh more than the S25), while it remains unchanged at 4,900 mAh for the S26+. Samsung Galaxy S26/S26+: Photo/Video Equipment Regarding the photo/video sensors, there are few changes compared to last year. The Samsung Galaxy S26/S26+ feature a triple camera system: 50 MP wide-angle (24 mm, f/1.8, 1 µm pixel size, Dual Pixel, PDAF, stabilized) + 10 MP telephoto (67 mm, f/2.4, 1 µm pixel size, 3x optical zoom, PDAF, stabilized) + 12 MP ultra-wide-angle (13 mm, f/2.2, 1.4 µm pixel size, Super Steady Video). For its part, the selfie camera is 12 MP (26 mm, f/2.2, 1.12 µm pixel size, Dual Pixel PDAF). As for video, the Samsung Galaxy S26/S26+ can record sequences in resolutions of 4320p (Ultra HD 8K) up to 30 fps, 2160p (Ultra HD 4K) up to 60 fps, and 1080p (Full HD) up to 240 frames per second. For the selfie camera: 2160p up to 60 fps or 1080p up to 30 fps. Samsung Galaxy S26/S26+: the processor. However, a notable new feature is the inclusion of the Deca-Core Exynos 2600 processor (1 x 3.80 GHz C1-Ultra + 3 x 3.25 GHz C1-Pro + 6 x 2.75 GHz C1-Pro), the very first 2nm chip for a smartphone, promising faster performance and smoother operation. It is supported by an Xcipse 960 GPU and 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Storage capacities are available in 256GB or 512GB, using UFS 4.0. Samsung Galaxy S26/S26+: Specifications in brief. The IP68 rating is still in place for water and dust resistance, and connectivity includes Bluetooth 6.0 for the S26+ (5.4 for the S26), 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Ultra Wideband, NFC, GPS, and USB Type-C 3.2. Finally, note the increased wireless charging speed (20W) via Qi 2.2 certification.
