iPhone 18 Pro/Pro Max selfie camera: finally the truth

After several conflicting rumors, it seems we finally know the "truth" regarding the appearance of the selfie camera and Dynamic Island on the iPhone 18 Pro/Pro Max.
Rumors have been circulating for a while about the Face ID sensor being hidden behind the screen for the iPhone 18 Pro/Pro Max, expected this fall, in preparation for an "iPhone XX" without any visible sensors on the screen, in 2027. Regarding the current oval notch, supported by the Dynamic Island software trick, there have been suggestions of a reduction, or even a transformation into a simple, small, circular perforation, the position of which has been subject to various speculations: in the center of the screen, in the upper right, in the upper left… In short, the leaker Instant Digital sets the record straight and gives the definitive version: only one of the Face ID components will be hidden under the screen, reducing the size of the oval, which will indeed be slightly smaller, but still centered at the top of the screen. Pro/Pro Max, Dynamic Island, the league of "leakers" confirms. The cause of previous missteps, translation errors in reports from China, and the architecture of Face ID (see photo above), which consists of three elements, including an infrared sensor positioned in the upper left corner of the screen, is the confusion. Instant Digital's clarification was subsequently confirmed by other reliable "leakers" and analysts (including Ross Young), lending credence to this aspect of the iPhone 18 Pro/Pro Max, which will be released this fall.
