Will you invest in the Atari hotel?

The video game pioneer is venturing into real estate with a project for a gaming-themed hotel, in which you can invest.
After initiating the era of home video games in 1972, the American company Atari experienced highs and lows throughout its existence (including a permanent closure, then a revival), and is now embarking (actually as early as 2020, but the program has been delayed, see our news article "Atari Hotels of the Future: New Images but Construction Postponed") on a comprehensive diversification strategy, capitalizing on its brand reputation.

Atari Hotel, hi-tech rooms and a dedicated e-sports venue

The latest project, an Atari "gaming" hotel in Phoenix, Arizona, promises "hi-tech" rooms, suites for content creators, bars, restaurants, shops, and even a sports betting room, a 2,000-seat concert hall, plus a huge venue dedicated to e-sports events.

Atari Hotel, investment starting at $500

Atari has already raised $14 million for the construction of this temple to video games and aims for $124 million to make it a reality. And that's where fans from all over the world are being called upon, since a crowdfunding campaign allows anyone to invest from $500 to help with the hotel's construction.

Atari Hotels, a word from Jordan Taylor of Intersection Development, the company managing the project: “Atari Hotels was born from the idea that hospitality could be as interactive as video games themselves,” explains Jordan Taylor of Intersection Development, the company managing the project. “Our fundraising and community ownership model reflect this vision and offer gamers, pop culture fans, Phoenix residents, and investors a rare opportunity to help shape the Western Hemisphere’s first immersive gaming hotel.”
