iOS 27, nothing new?

After the major iOS 26 update this year on iPhones, the 2027 version is expected to be more subtle with almost imperceptible improvements.
Apple launched the new iOS 26 operating system on iPhones (and its equivalent on the manufacturer's other devices) this fall, notably offering a radical design change, the most significant since iOS 7 in 2013, with the adoption of the "liquid glass" aesthetic. iOS 27, focusing on optimizing iOS 26. There's no time to waste at Apple, as iOS 27 is already in development, reports Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, who still has access to the company's inner workings. He specifies that this version will primarily focus on improving the "underlying quality and performance." In other words, no major upheaval, which is quite logical after the significant evolution of iOS 26. iOS 27, broader deployment of AI. Gurman adds, however, that Apple should extend artificial intelligence features to more Apple applications, and that the Apple Health+ subscription service, focused on health, will also arrive. The first developer beta versions of iOS 27 will be released in June after the WWDC2027 conference.
