Thieves prefer the iPhone

An unpleasant mix of emotions when your smartphone is stolen and then returned to you because it's not classy enough…
It's certainly not pleasant to have your smartphone stolen. But what do you think when the thief immediately gives it back because he would have preferred a different brand? A scenario that might seem funny at first glance, but is actually a real trend in London, reports the website London Centric. Mark and Sam share their stories. One of the victims, named Mark, had his Android device snatched from his hands by a thief on an electric bike and could do nothing but watch him speed away. "I saw him stop, look at my phone, then throw it on the ground," Mark recounts. "He rode off again and I got my phone back." The victim's feelings? To be honest, I felt a bit rejected. My poor phone. A less amusing story than Sam's, who was assaulted by eight men who demanded he hand over everything he had on him. After the theft, one of the criminals returns and gives Sam back his smartphone, telling him, "I don't want your Samsung." The reason behind these absurd situations is the premium status of the iPhone, considered by the public to be more desirable, and therefore reselling for more even on the "second-hand" market, thus encouraging thieves to be more selective.
