GTA VI breaks a record that has been brewing for two years
17.11.2025 • 09h03
It won't be released until the end of next year, but the most anticipated video game of all time continues to break records, going head-to-head with the biggest Marvel movie ever.
While it should already be in players' hands, the most anticipated video game of all time, GTA VI, was first delayed to May 2026, then more recently to November 2026. GTA VI surpasses Avengers: Infinity War. This delay is all the more painful as the first trailer was unveiled at the end of 2023, an "old" video that is making headlines again today because it recently broke a record. It is, in fact, the most-viewed trailer of all time, and not just in the video game industry, as it surpasses the previous record holder, the Avengers: Infinity War trailer released at the end of 2017. In detail, at the time of writing, GTA VI has 268,987,369 views, compared to 268,591,367 for Infinity War. A very close race, then, since Rockstar's game is ahead of its competitor by a few hundred thousand views. It's unlikely Marvel will catch up, as all eyes are currently on this highly anticipated game.
