Philips FA3 Fidelio: new active wireless and audiophile speakers

2026 promises to be rich in audio innovations for the Philips company, which intends to become a major player in the Hi-Fi market once again. The proof is in the form of the Philips FA3 Fidelio active network speakers presented at the Philips Century event, which took place in mid-September at Natlab (Natuurkundig Laboratorium) in Eindhoven, Holland.

Alongside its FT1 Bluetooth turntable/audio CD player (see our Philips Fidelio FT1 news: the Bluetooth turntable is also an audio CD player) and the Philips Century product range The Tina, The Stevie, The Janet, The Freddie and The Ringo with a vintage look (see our Philips Century news: new product range to celebrate 100 years of audio innovations), Philips has also unveiled the FA3 turntable, a pair of active wireless speakers with a compact design and audiophile design.

Designed to work in tandem with the FT1, associated with an external sound source ([abc]audio CD[/abc]player, network player, television, etc.) or independently, these new additions to the Fidelio range focus on ease of use and sound quality. Each FA3 speaker features 50W bi-amplification, for a total power output of 100W (logical!), powering a 12.7cm fiberglass [abc]midrange[/abc]-[abc]woofer[/abc] driver and a 2.54cm titanium [abc]tweeter[/abc]. A promising configuration for balanced and dynamic sound reproduction via a discreet format.

Connectivity is not left out, with [abc]Bluetooth[/abc] 5.4 LC3 [abc]Auracast[/abc] compatibility, for high-quality audio streaming and reduced latency.
