Next Xbox at $1,200 and PlayStation 6 half the price?

The latest leaks suggest a significant difference in price, and therefore strategy, between the two next-generation consoles, the Xbox "Magnus" and PlayStation 6.

A few weeks ago, we learned that the next Xbox console would have better specifications than its future rival PlayStation 6, even if one important element was still missing: the price of the consoles.

Next Xbox console twice as expensive as the PS6?££££ However, these prices were recently mentioned by the "leaker" KeplerL2, often reliable when it comes to his information on processor manufacturers, as well as their major clients in the video game industry. According to him, given the specifications of each of the two machines, the next Xbox would cost around $1,200, while the PlayStation 6 would be offered at around $600.

Xbox CEO Sarah Bond confirms the ultra-premium nature of the next Xbox££££ These numbers don't seem so crazy, considering that Microsoft recently launched the ROG Xbox Ally X at €900, making it the most expensive Xbox ever, even though it's not even a "real" Xbox (it handles Xbox games ported to PC but not all box games). Furthermore, Xbox CEO Sarah Bond recently said in a recent interview that the next Xbox will be "a truly premium, high-end experience."
