Foldable iPad, in 2028?

While it could have been released alongside the very first foldable iPhone expected in 2026, the foldable iPad would arrive later.
Corroborating rumors that were already circulating in August, Taiwanese analyst Ming-Chi Kuo assures that Apple's first tablet with a foldable screen will be released much later than the iPhone equipped with the same technology, planned for 2026, Kuo reconfirms. Foldable iPad/MacBook hybrid in 2028?££££ More precisely, the analyst is counting on a launch in 2028, whereas Apple's previous plans for the tablet mentioned a release before the foldable smartphone, then at the same time. For this iPhone, Kuo estimates that between 8 and 10 million units would be sold in 2026, and up to 25 million in 2027. He adds that the foldable iPad would sell less well because of a much higher price than the smartphone. As a reminder, the latest rumors point to an iPad/MacBook hybrid with an 18.8" touchscreen and the macOS operating system. Kuo adds that the ultra-thin protective glass will be supplied by the American company Corning, which will work in collaboration with General Interface Solutions for cutting, corner processing, quality control, packaging, and distribution.
