Still a guess but very present in the rumor mill, the new PlayStation portable console is once again making headlines through indiscretions reported by Moore's Law is Dead.
PlayStation 6 portable with a dock?££££
Generally reliable, thanks to its sources within the manufacturers of gaming machine processors, the YouTube channel reports that the PlayStation portable would be inspired by one of the key features of the Nintendo Switch, namely the option to connect to the TV via a docking station. This console would launch alongside a more traditional PlayStation 6, and would see its power increased - as with the Switch consoles - in TV/"docked" mode. More precisely, the result will be superior to that of the base PlayStation 5, for a machine equipped with an AMD APU with four Zen 6c cores, and two other cores entirely dedicated to system tasks.
Given these specifications, Moore's Law is Dead estimates that the portable PS will sell for around $500, with an estimated release date of 2027.
