Sensitive souls, abstain. The video above shows a brand-new Galaxy Z Fold 7 undergoing the worst tortures, in the name of science.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, remarkable resistance to crash tests££££
Zack Nelson of the YouTube channel JerryRigEverything specializes in testing the robustness of electronic gadgets, just to verify the manufacturers' claims about the robustness of their devices. This process is not without a touch of sadism either. Samsung's latest foldable smartphone thus takes cuts from a box cutter, unnatural folds and even flames on the screen. Result: the device is not immortal but still resists surprisingly well in certain areas. It is notably impervious to fine particles (in this case sand), and despite a record thinness for a specimen of the Z Fold family, the device is impossible to break by trying to force the fold in the wrong direction. Impressive. However, the screens do not resist pronounced cutter blows (especially the internal screen), nor a lighter flame applied for too long, like its predecessors.
