According to the Chinese "leaker" Fixed Focus Digital, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra smartphone, which is expected to be released in early 2026, will be equipped with a 200 Mpxls sensor manufactured by Sony.

A particularly interesting rumor since, until now, the 200 Mpxls sensor of the Galaxy S was supplied by Samsung. Normal, the Korean manufacturer was the only producer of such a component. This information thus corroborates a rumor dating from March 2025, claiming that Sony was in the process of developing such a sensor.
So why adopt this Sony model on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra? Simply because this sensor would be more efficient than the one manufactured by Samsung, notably thanks to dimensions of 1/1.1" larger than the Samsung version (1/1.3" for the Galaxy S25 Ultra). Concretely, such a characteristic makes it possible to capture more light, thus improving the quality of images, particularly in low light conditions.
