Foldable iPhone, crazy battery?

Strongly expected to be released at the end of next year, the first iPhone with a foldable screen could leave its best competitors in the dust in terms of battery life.

According to Chinese leaker MyDrivers, the foldable iPhone that will likely arrive next year would benefit from a larger battery than that of the latest Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

The battery capacity should therefore be between 5,000 mAh and 5,500 mAh, although no details have been revealed as to how Apple would achieve this feat, knowing that the size of foldables generally does not allow much space for this component. Apple could use the new silicone-anode technology, predicted for the iPhone 17 Air but ultimately denied. Another solution is to improve the screen components to optimize consumption. Finally, MyDrivers mentions the price of the machine, which should exceed 15,000 yuan, or around 1,800 euros, in line with the predictions of other "leakers".
