Foldable iPhone: Screen production already underway?

Exclusive supplier of foldable screens for the first foldable iPhone in 2026, Samsung Display is already reportedly warming up its production plants.

According to Korean media ET News, production of foldable [abc]OLED[/abc] screens for Apple's first foldable model has already started, with the product expected to be ready next year.

These screens are manufactured by Samsung Display, which is said to be establishing a dedicated production line at its A3 factory in the city of Asan in Chungcheong province in South Korea. Work on this line is reportedly nearing completion to ultimately produce 15 million 7" (17.78 cm) foldable screens per year.
