iPhone 17: new Dynamic Island?

The interface of the Dynamic Island, a software trick that hides the iPhone's front-facing camera, is expected to undergo a design change this year.

Introduced with the iPhone 14 in 2022, the Dynamic Island feature is this adaptive window at the top of the screen to hide the perforation of the front sensors. It should, for the first time since its appearance, adopt a new design with the iPhone 17 range.

Dynamic Island evolves with iOS26 and its “liquid glass” appearance££££

This is what the Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station reveals on the social network weibo, known for the reliability of its predictions, without further details. No need to be called Sherlock Holmes, however, to guess that this change will be linked to the new iOS26 update which will give a “liquid glass” appearance to the entire iPhone interface, including the Dynamic Island area.

A software modification therefore, although previous rumors mentioned a hardware evolution with a smaller front perforation. However, this significant reduction in size would only arrive for the iPhone 18.
