Where is Samsung's tri-folding smartphone?

We were hoping for an announcement alongside the new Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, but it seems that Samsung's tri-folding smartphone will be delayed for a few more months.

The Samsung Unpacked event is behind us, the occasion for the brand to present its latest foldable screen smartphones Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, and the perfect opportunity for many observers of the smartphone market to reveal more about the new three-section foldable model, teased at the beginning of the year by the manufacturer. Alas, nothing on the horizon…

Nothing revealed then, but the smartphone does exist. It should even be released before the end of the year, explained TM Roh, head of Samsung's mobile business, during an interview with the Korea Times daily which took place after the Unpacked event. TM Roh added that the device will offer an "enhanced" AI experience and that its name has not yet been finalized, although rumors suggest it will be a "Galaxy G Fold."

"We are working hard on a tri-fold smartphone with the goal of launching it at the end of this year," Roh said. "We are currently focusing on perfecting the product and its usability, but we have not yet decided on a name. As the product gets closer to completion, we plan to make a final decision."

According to an anonymous Samsung insider interviewed by Android Authority shortly before Unpacked, Samsung is still considering the appeal of such a device and whether there is a consumer demand for such an unusual form factor.
