Ubisoft's Watch Dogs adapted into a film

Another Hollywood adaptation project of a Ubisoft video game license, not the best known but with good potential for the big screen.

Beyond Good and Evil, The Division, Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell, Raving Rabbids, Ghost Recon… We can no longer count the film adaptation projects/series of Ubisoft games announced in recent years. Some may have been canceled along the way given the radio silence surrounding them, and that is perhaps not a bad thing (see the “quiet” adaptations of Prince of Persia and Assassin's Creed). Which does not prevent projects from continuing to launch, with the latest one adapted this time from Watch Dogs.

The actress Sophie Wilde, who we saw in Talk to Me, is even in negotiations with New Regency for this future feature film. Directed by a Frenchman accustomed to genre films, Mathieu Turi (Hostile, Gueules Noirs). Writing, Christie LeBlanc (Oxygène).

No details on the story, except that of the game which follows the wanderings of a hacker involved despite himself in the world of crime, and which uses his hacker skills to take control of the elements of the hyper-connected environment of a not-so-distant future. Source: Deadline
