Season 5 of Stranger Things will be bigger than ever!

Matt and Ross Duffer, the creators of Stranger Things, say that the fifth and final season of the series will be much bigger than that of the first season.

Recent rumors suggested that the final season was to take place exclusively in the town of Hawkins and that the children (Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin and Lucas) were supposed to interact more with each other.

Stranger Things, the end of a story, the beginning of the spin off

The two creators confirm: “This season, it’s a bit like the first season was on steroids. The scale is much larger. It's also really fun, because everyone will be back in Hawkins: the boys and Eleven will interact like they did in the first season. Yes, there could be spin-offs, but the shared story between Eleven, Dustin, Lucas and Hopper ends here.

Diffusion: not before 2025

Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery, Charlie Heaton, Sadie Sink, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Cara Buono and Brett Gelman, will be at the casting of this fifth and final season. Filming, which was scheduled to begin in June 2023, has now been rescheduled for the very first week of January. It is therefore already certain that this last season will not be available on Netflix before 2025.
