IFA 23 > Xgimi Horizon Ultra, DLP Ultra HD 4K Laser/LED and Dolby Vision video projector, price and specifications update

Unveiled in our columns in mid-August, we now know more about the latest addition to the Horizon video projector range, the so-called Xgimi Horizon Ultra. Ultra HD 4K model, it integrates a dual LED and laser light source.

The big novelty of the Xgimi Horizon Ultra does not lie in its cubic design (already popular on the Xgimi Horizon and Xgimi Horizon Pro), nor in its sound equipment signed Harman Kardon, but in its light source entitled Dual Light . The latter is dual, laser and LED, in order to combine, according to the brand, “the brightness and color precision of LEDs with the strong contrast and sharpness of the laser”.

Another remarkable specification of the Xgimi Horizon Ultra is its Dolby Vision HDR compatibility. Finally, the operating system of the Xgimi Horizon Ultra is none other than Android TV 11, guaranteeing access to most of the current flagship applications, in particular streaming with Amazon Prime Video or Disney+. On the other hand, the native Netflix application is still missing.

In terms of connectivity, there are two HDMI inputs, one of which has the eARC function, an optical output, two USB ports and an Ethernet port. For its part, connectivity mentions Wi-Fi 6 Dual Band compatibility and Bluetooth 5.2. Finally, the noise is announced at 28 dB and 3D compatibility is required.
