There have been rumors for a while now about a new, smaller PlayStation 5 model with a removable optical drive.
PS5 Slim available from September?
Latest news is that this “PS5 Slim” is set to arrive in September, with an added hint of official price cuts for the current PS5, seen lately across the world. And to add grist to the mill of rumours, leaked images of the device have recently surfaced, starting with a photo on a Chinese forum, and a video posted by Better Way Electronics (see screenshot above) , Australian PS5 repair specialist. You can see in the images a bulge for the disk drive, and two USB-C ports on the front instead of the current USB-C and USB-A.
