Special mention this month for the adaptation in live action of One Piece, manga and cult cartoon, still in the process of publication/broadcast even though it was born in 1997. The last strip -announcement (below) has set the internet ablaze, and fans are overwhelmingly benevolent and optimistic, despite some questionable casting decisions. We pray that the series will not join the long list of failed and immediately canceled manga adaptations.
