Pitch Black in 2000, The Chronicles of Riddick in 2004 and Riddick in 2013 saw a surge in solicitations on the platform when, a few weeks ago, Vin Diesel and the director of the trilogy David Twohy announced the preparation of a new feature film titled Riddick: Furya.

The actor and the director have always been convinced that it was necessary to offer an episode to the franchise where Riddick would finally find the land where he was born, Furya. A logical sequel when you also know that the three films in the franchise have so far grossed $267 million worldwide.
Pitch Black alone grossed $53 million worldwide against an original budget of $23 million. The Riddick Chronicles cost $105 million to gross "only" $115 million, while Riddick cost only $38 million to gross $98 million.
