Rocky and Rocky II premiering in 4K Ultra HD on March 8

The first two feature films in the Rocky saga will be released by Warner for the first time in 4K Steelbook on March 8th. This first UHD salvo will be followed by other releases of later episodes, also in 4K.

Warner will release John G. Avildsen's multi-Oscar-winning Rocky and its sequel, Rocky II by Sylvester Stallone, in 4K UHD on March 8. Pre-orders are already open.

First time in 4K

This event release -it's the first time that the Rocky fresco is adorned with 4K- should be followed by others. Rocky III Tiger's Eye and Rocky 4, also signed by Stallone, should be released in Steelbook 4K a little later, on March 29.

Note also that a 4K box containing the first four films of the saga, entitled Rocky: the Knockout Collection, is also scheduled for an American release on February 28. The movies have all been restored to 4K with HDR Dolby Vision.

Fans will also notice the presence in this box of two versions of Rocky 4, available in theatrical version and Director's Cut -renamed Rocky IV: Rocky Vs Drago- with 40 minutes of unpublished images.

As for the upcoming releases of Rocky and Rocky II in 4K, the films are announced with VO DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and VF Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks and HDR Dolby Vision label. On the other hand, the presence of new bonuses is not confirmed. €29.99, indicative price per unit.
