JBL Bar 800 Multibeam: 5.1.2 soundbar, modular surround speakers, 720 W and HDR Dolby Vision

Resumption of our presentation of the new series of sound bars from the American manufacturer with, after the JBL Bar 500 Multibeam and JBL Bar 300 Multibeam, the reference JBL Bar 800 Multibeam.

As a reminder, JBL has been renewing its range of sound bars since the start of the school year with models capable of meeting all consumer needs. Common point, they all embed the Multibeam house technology.

JBL Bar 800 Multibeam, Dolby Atmos compatibility In short, the major difference between the JBL Bar 800 Multibeam and the two references of the JBL Bar Multibeal family already presented lies in the possibility of detaching the two ends of the soundbar to use them as surround speakers, thus transforming the JBL Bar 800 in true 5.1.2 pack, with a pair of surrounds. These include a battery allowing ten hours of use. Once the Home Cinema session is over, simply connect them to the sound bar to recharge them. For the rest, we note an increase in total power delivered, to 720 watts.

The detachable speakers each have an ovoid racetrack type speaker (46 x 90 mm) and the subwoofer has a 26 centimeter woofer.

The digital amplification delivers a total power of 720 W (340 W for the bar + 80 W for the surrounds + 300 W for the subwoofer). The subwoofer has a 25.4 centimeter woofer.

Voice and Bluetooth assistants

The Multibeam technology offers automatic calibration of the JBL Bar 800 via a built-in microphone and the analysis of the reflection of the waves on the walls and the ceiling of the room. And the Dual Band Wi-Fi compatibility associated with the AirPlay 2 functions (possible connection of the JBL Bar 800 Multibeam to an Apple TV box), Chromecast (integrated) and integrated Alexa Multi-Room-Music allow an audio multiroom configuration (with additional other speakers bisn sure) and access to major music platforms. Finally, the JBL Bar 800 Multibeam is also Bluetooth 5.0 compatible to enjoy sound content stored on a suitable device.

Last precision, the connectors include an HDMI 2.0 eARC input/output certified HDCP 2.3 and equipped with HDR10 and HDR Dolby Vision Pass-Trough functions to connect a 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray player for example. Not to mention an optical input for connecting an external audio source.
