Dynaudio Focus 10, Focus 30 and Focus 50, new series of active speakers

Dynaudio presented last spring its new Focus range composed of three models of fully active speakers, wired or wireless.

Replacing the previous Focus XD range, Dynaudio's new Focus line includes three fully active stereo loudspeakers: Focus 10 (two-way bookshelf speaker), Focus 30 (two-and-a-half-way floorstanding model) and Focus 50 (three-way floorstanding) .

With the Focus series, Dynaudio intends to meet the new expectations of music lovers, who are increasingly keen to simplify their sound installation on the one hand, and on the other hand to take advantage of streaming offers for improved ergonomics. improved. Dynaudio Focus, connectors and connectivity

Dynaudio Focus speakers include all the technology needed to support the main streaming audio sources, wired or wireless: Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Wi-Fi, AirPlay 2, Google Chromecast, Qplay (Chinese streaming service QQ Music), UPnP (DLNA), web radios and Bluetooth. Also note the compatibility with the Roon platform. On the connector side, there are digital inputs, one coaxial and one optical as well as an analog, stereo RCA connection, for example to connect an audio CD player or a vinyl turntable.

In the output menu, in addition to the one dedicated to a subwoofer, there is a coaxial output, a trigger socket. Finally an Ethernet port is present plus a USB port but the latter is only used for maintenance. Finally, the Wisa connectivity (96 kHz/24 bits) allows for a wireless connection with your television, or to connect two Focus speakers to each other wirelessly. For convenience, the speakers automatically switch inputs depending on the source. Last point, Dirac Live compatibility for optimized calibration is included.

Dynaudio Focus, acoustic packages

In terms of sound equipment, the two-way Dynaudio Focus 10 features an Esotec 14 cm midrange-boomer speaker, in magnesium-silicate-polymer and a Cerotar-type tweeter with a 28 mm soft dome. The power is 280 W for the midrange speaker and 110 W for the tweeter. The two-and-a-half-way Focus 30 has two 14 cm Esotec loudspeakers and a 28 mm Cerotar tweeter associated with three amplifiers delivering, respectively, powers of 280 W for the bass transducer, 280 W for the midrange-boomer transducer and 110 W for tweet it. Finally, the three-way Focus 50 has two Esotec 18 cm boomers, a 15 cm midrange and a 28 mm Cerotar tweeter, for a power of 280 W for the boomers and the midrange, and 110 W for the tweeter. Namely, the amplifiers present in the Focus speakers are those used in the brand's professional studio reference monitors.
