Produced in 1981, the second feature film by the great Taiwanese filmmaker Hou Hsiao-Hsien (The Flowers of Shanghai, Millenium Mambo) explores the tender and complicated relationships between men and women.

The second opus in a trilogy started by Cute Girl (1980), Cheerful Wind reveals the filmmaker's singularity through a demanding genre, romantic comedy.

Announced on August 25 on Blu-Ray and DVD at Carlotta, the film is available in the original DTS-HD Master Audio 1.0 version with French subtitles, in 2.35 image format.

In supplements, Shivers (13 minutes): an interview with Jean-Michel Frodon (journalist, film critic and associate professor at Sciences Po), followed by a comparative module on the restoration of the film (2 minutes) and the 2018 trailer. Target price: 19.99 euros.
